SREC26 & EXPO 2026 Postponed — New Dates to Be Announced

In summary. SREC26 & Expo will not take place on 1–2 November 2026. The event is postponed and a new date will be announced following consultation with stakeholders, sponsors, partners and the host venue. Registration and packages will reopen once new dates are confirmed.
Official notice — SREC26 & Expo 2026 — postponement
The Somali Green Energy Association (SOGEA) wishes to inform all invited guests, partners, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, government institutions, development partners, private-sector stakeholders, and the general public that the Somali Renewable Energy Conference & Expo (SREC26) 2026, originally scheduled to take place on 1–2 November 2026 at Martisoor Hotel, Garowe, Puntland, Somalia, will not proceed on the allocated dates.
This decision has been made in consideration of the ongoing Somalia electoral process, which is affecting the availability and participation of a number of important government officials, sector stakeholders, speakers, partners, and other expected participants. In addition, the current electoral period has created constraints for several prospective sponsors and partners whose participation is important to the successful delivery of SREC26 & EXPO.
SOGEA considers it important to ensure that SREC26 is held at a time when key national and international stakeholders can participate meaningfully and when sponsors, exhibitors, and partners have adequate opportunity to engage effectively.
SREC26 & EXPO is therefore postponed, and a new date will be communicated following further consultation with key stakeholders, sponsors, partners, and the host venue.
SOGEA sincerely appreciates the support, commitment, and understanding of Martisoor Hotel, government institutions, development partners, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, renewable energy companies, and all other stakeholders who have contributed to the preparation of the event.
We remain fully committed to advancing Somalia’s renewable energy sector and to convening a high-level platform that promotes investment, innovation, technology, policy dialogue, partnerships, and sustainable energy development.
Further information regarding the new dates, programme, registration, sponsorship, exhibition arrangements, and participation will be communicated through the official SREC26 channels.
